Hello

My name is Christina and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. Over my 15 year career to date; I have worked across the intersections of family/intimate partner violence, family services, community health, disability services, mental health, suicide prevention and the LGBTIQA/SB+ space. I am an activist with a broad history of collaborative work relating to grass roots community organising and campaigning.

My Story

I am a proud queer, non binary, multicultural, neurodivergent zoomie (otherwise known as combination ADHD) adult child, sibling, friend aka human. I choose to share my locations in order for you to be able to place me in our collective work and within your own unique positionalities.

I grew up in Meanjin on Gubbi Gubbi Country where I was a free range kid, exploring oceans, bays, waterfalls, mountains and rainforests. I had two strong and important women throughout my childhood and within my family and kin, my (single) mother and my aunty. I grew up in caravan parks and public housing and have lived experiences of surviving beneath the poverty line. When I was 17 I moved to the big smoke, a few years later I graduated from university and was the first person in my family to do so, this was made possible by their wisdom and support.

In my mid 20's I moved to Naarm where my deep passion for community work and collective care continued to thrive and flourish. This has informed who I am and how I practice in the here and now as an active member of the Blak Soveriegnty, anti fascist and LGBTIQA/SB+ movements and communities.

I continue to explore, experience, discover, agitate, connect and heal and be healed.

I acknowledge Sistergirls and Brotherboys who have lived outside of the colonially imposed gender binary since time immemorial. I pay my respects to Elders past and present, who continue to guide, lead, resist and reimagine this place.
